Reflective studs on motorway are safety devices used on roads. These devices are usually made of plastics, ceramics, thermoplastic coatings or occasionally metal, and come in a variety of shapes and colors. Reflective studs on motorway include lenses or reflective sheets, which enhance visibility by reflecting automobile headlights. When I was taking my London Transport bus driving test in 1978 I was told, if asked to name the colours of catseyes to be found, to mention blue as well as white, red, yellow, and green. Apparently they were for laybys designed for police cars to lurk in wait for errant motorists.
The answer to this question is: green. When there is a slip road, either on or off the motorway, the reflective studs will be green so that you are aware of these junctions when visibility is poor or if it is dark. This will ensure you can identify the route you need to take off the motorway and be aware when traffic is joining the motorway. Red
